How do our PSL predictions work?
Each preview looks at recent form, the head-to-head record, the table and confirmed team news from the clubs. We then give an opinion on the likely outcome. It is analysis, not a promise, because football is unpredictable.
We never invent odds or quote prices we cannot source. Also, we do not publish dated tips lists. Instead, the previews live in Betting Tips, and this hub links to the latest.

How do you read a PSL match preview?
Begin with the table. A club near the top usually has more goals scored and fewer conceded, which the PSL table shows. Next, look at the last five results, and split them by home and away. Then check team news, since a missing striker or goalkeeper can change the picture.
Finally, remember the derby factor. Games such as the Soweto Derby often ignore form, so treat them with extra care.
How is the league shaping up?

Where can you find the latest PSL previews?
Browse the PSL category for match previews and reports as we publish them. If a preview is not there yet, the match has not been covered. In that case, use the fixtures table above for the date and time.
What should you know before betting on the PSL?
Betting is for adults aged 18 and over. Only use bookmakers licensed in South Africa, and check the licence before you deposit. Our guide to betting sites in South Africa explains how. Also, set a budget, because no prediction is certain.
What does a good PSL prediction include?
A useful prediction names its evidence. For instance, it might point to a club’s home record, a run of clean sheets or the loss of a key player. It also admits uncertainty. Because the Betway Premiership has 16 clubs and 30 rounds, results can swing from week to week, and a cautious tone is a good sign.
In contrast, a prediction that only shows a score with no reasoning tells you very little. Consequently, we explain the thinking behind each preview.
How do international breaks affect PSL previews?
When Bafana Bafana play, some players leave their clubs, and the league calendar can change. As at 26 September 2026, the next Betway Premiership round in our data is due on 16 October, after the September window. For that reason, always check the fixtures table for the newest dates. Which PSL clubs should you follow?
Every club has a profile in the Team Hub. Many readers start with Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Premiership top scorers page shows which strikers are in form.
How should you use form guides in the PSL?
Form guides show the last five results as W, D or L. They are quick, but they hide context. For example, three wins against the bottom clubs are not the same as three wins against the top four. Therefore, check the opponents before you judge a run.
Also, look at goals. A club that wins 1-0 every week is more fragile than one that wins 3-0, because a single mistake can cost points. Finally, remember that home advantage varies by stadium, so use the PSL results page to compare home and away scores.

The fixtures table refreshes every three hours. We review the copy on this page whenever the season changes shape, and we last checked it on 26 September 2026. Meanwhile, previews are added as separate articles, so this hub never becomes a long list of old dates.
